Developing a Pandemic-Adjusted Walkability Index to Assess Urban Resilience

This study introduces a health-oriented framework to analyze the relationship between urban walkability and COVID-19 incidence in New York City. Using a Spatial Multi-Criteria Analysis, researchers constructed a walkability index based on 24 spatial indicators and applied spatial regression models to explore how walkability factors correlate with pandemic transmission dynamics.
