Privacy Policy
How PRISM handles privacy, analytics, operational logs, and third-party services.
No Accounts
PRISM does not require reader accounts. We do not build personalized news feeds, sell reader profiles, or ask readers to provide demographic information to browse the site.
Analytics
PRISM records page visits, clicks, reading depth and active reading time, audio playback, quiz progress (not answers), and lead submission outcomes. We use random browser and session identifiers, campaign tags (UTMs), advertising click IDs including fbclid, gclid, ttclid and msclkid, and available Facebook attribution identifiers (fbc and fbp). Referrers are reduced to their origin and page URLs exclude query strings.
If configured, we also create an approximate browser fingerprint from screen dimensions, browser family, language, timezone, platform, color depth and CPU core count. We store these characteristics, available viewport dimensions, pixel ratio, touch support, device memory and cookie availability, alongside a server-keyed fingerprint hash. We also record the IP address observed by our hosting provider, approximate country, region and city, and browser user agent. These details are visible only to authorized administrators. A fingerprint or IP address does not reliably identify a person and is not used to restore deleted browser IDs. Analytics does not store names, emails, phone numbers, passwords, form entries or keystroke contents.
Your Analytics Choice
Analytics is enabled for all visitors. Google Tag Manager and Vercel analytics/performance tools load on every page. Existing third-party cookies can be cleared in your browser settings.
Local Preferences
The dark or light theme preference is stored in your browser using local storage under the key prism-theme. This preference stays on your device and is used only to render the site in your selected theme.
Third Parties
If you submit an AI App registration form, the contact details you provide are sent to the configured lead provider to process your request. These form entries are separate from analytics. When you open a source article, RSS feed, podcast app, or linked publisher page, that destination is governed by its own privacy policy. PRISM does not control third-party publisher sites.
Retention
Analytics uses a rolling 90-day retention window with scheduled cleanup. An administrator can delete an individual visitor profile, its sessions, technical details and events. Our first-party analytics endpoint respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Clearing browser storage resets the browser identifier but does not automatically erase records already collected.
