Audio narration · Coming soon
This study tracked 113 adults for one year following bariatric surgery and found that higher vitamin D levels after surgery were associated with less fat infiltration in certain muscles and lower visceral fat. However, increases in vitamin D levels were not significantly linked to changes in overall body composition, and preoperative vitamin D levels did not predict postoperative body composition outcomes.
