Home Assistant renames its cloud service to Home Assistant Link, rejecting big tech clouds

Home Assistant, an open-source smart home platform, is rebranding its cloud service from Home Assistant Cloud to Home Assistant Link. This change reflects the founder Paulus Schoutsen's criticism of big tech companies, stating that 'Big tech ruined the cloud, so we're out.' The announcement signals a shift away from traditional cloud services in the smart home ecosystem.
