New Barklice Species Allocaecilius nilgiriensis Discovered in Nilgiri Mountains

Scientists from the Zoological Survey of India have discovered and described a new species of barklice insect named Allocaecilius nilgiriensis. This discovery marks only the second time a member of this unique barklouse genus has been identified, highlighting the biodiversity of the Nilgiri Mountains.
