NASA's Roman Telescope Uses Less Fuel Than Expected, Extending Mission Life

NASA initially budgeted 200 kilograms of fuel for the Roman telescope's first course correction, but the telescope used only 18 kilograms, about nine percent of the allocation. This fuel efficiency, combined with extra fuel loaded before launch and anticipated future savings, could allow the mission to last at least 22 years, although NASA notes that these savings are still conditional.
