Light-Controlled Brake Slows Molecular Motion by 300,000 Times
Audio narration · Coming soon
Scientists at IOCB Prague have demonstrated a method to dramatically reduce the random motion within a molecule using light. This technique slows the relative rotation of two parts of a single molecule by up to five orders of magnitude, potentially enabling the development of more complex molecular machines.
