The Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Boeing have developed a 3D-printed Stamp Form Die (SFD) metal mold to advance manufacturing methods for thermoplastic composite production. This new SFD will be utilized by Boeing in support of NASA's Hi-Rate Composite Aircraft Manufacturing (HiCAM) project, aiming to improve composite aircraft manufacturing processes.
