Scammers Hijack Students' WhatsApp for Fake Youth Exchange and AI Course Scams

Police have reported at least eight cases where scammers hijacked students' WhatsApp accounts to solicit payments for fake youth exchange programmes and AI courses. Parents are warned to verify any unexpected payment requests related to such programmes, especially if their child has not mentioned them. Over $18,000 has been lost in these scams so far.
