New Digital Tool Aids Neurosurgeons in Mapping Brain Functions During Tumor Removal

A new digital tool developed by a company from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Center for Computer Vision assists neurosurgery teams in identifying critical brain areas to preserve during tumor removal. The tool has been used in 31 neurosurgical procedures, including 19 at Bellvitge University Hospital, developed in collaboration with local medical and research institutions.
