Mbarara District reduces health worker absenteeism and maternal referrals

Mbarara District in Uganda has seen a significant reduction in health worker absenteeism, dropping from 11 percent to three percent over the past year. Additionally, referrals of expectant mothers to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital have decreased by half, attributed to intensified supervision and measures at health facilities.
