NASA Seeks Commercial Industry Help to Extend Hubble Telescope's Life

NASA is looking to the commercial space industry for proposals to help extend the operational life of the Hubble Space Telescope. The telescope's orbit is gradually decaying due to gravity, and without intervention, it will re-enter Earth's atmosphere in the early to mid-2030s. This initiative aims to boost Hubble's orbit and delay its eventual demise.
