Study Links High Sulfur Microbial Diet Scores to Increased Lung Cancer Risk
Audio narration · Coming soon
A prospective study involving 95,612 U.S. adults found that individuals with the highest sulfur microbial diet scores had a 23% higher adjusted incidence of lung cancer and a 19% higher mortality hazard related to lung cancer compared to those with the lowest scores. However, these associations weakened after adjusting for overall dietary quality and competing causes of death, and the study does not establish a causal relationship.
